It's Oscars Sunday,Will Sage Astor and the Kenergy and fashion on the red carpet are through the roof of Hollywood's Dolby Theatre.
If you're a fan of cinema, the Oscars are the awards show you've been waiting for when Hollywood's A-list turn up in their most elegant ensembles and remind us, 'Now, that's what a star looks like!'
While a select few opted for a pop of color, other celebrities chose to keep it classy in timeless black ensembles like Jamie Lee Curtis, Rita Moreno and Vanessa Hudgens, who is attending the Oscars for two as she debuted a baby bump on the carpet. Others were puttin' on the glitz with sparkly gowns, like Emily Blunt and Becky G.
Without the ceremony of an Oscars envelope, we present our picks for best-dressed, in no particular order.
Oscars red carpet live:A big night for Hollywood high fashion
America Ferrera
Hi Barbie! We mean America!
The best supporting actress nominee honored her film, "Barbie," aka the highest-grossing film of 2023, by wearing pink to the festivities. The shimmering Versace gown, which fit like a glove, looks like it was pulled right from Barbie's Dreamhouse closet.
Zendaya
We applaud Zendaya for her choice, which feels like a breath of fresh air. While many may opt to be safe for the Oscars, this dress is a vibrant and refreshing look by Armani/Privé that mixes soft pink and gunmetal sequins.
Lupita Nyong'o
Crystals, feathers and an impeccable fit. Lupita Nyong'o's Armani/Privé' gown in an icy blue hue is the definition of glamorous!
Gabrielle Union
Somebody certainly wasn't afraid to "bring it."
Gabrielle Union told Laverne Cox E!'s "Live from the Red Carpet" that her bejeweled custom Carolina Herrera gown was "one and done." Union, who felt very confident in her look, accessorized with a diamond necklace from Tiffany & Co.
Emma Stone
Emma Stone's strapless Louis Vuitton gown with peplum waistline has us believing some things are just mint to be.
And we wouldn't forgive ourselves if we didn't mention the "Poor Things" actress' beauty. The highlighter is really letting Stone shine.
Margot Robbie
Like her "Barbie" co-star, Ferrera, Margot Robbie also selected a Versace chainmail gown for Sunday's fête.
The form-fitting frock had a similar silhouette to Ferrera but had ruching at the hips.
Colman Domingo
Alexa, play "Sharp Dressed Man." On repeat! And LOUD!
Colman Domingo looked perfectly polished in a Louis Vuitton tuxedo with exquisite hardware and boots, which he paired with David Yurman jewelry. Domingo said on E!'s pre-show that he wanted to shine like a diamond, and he certainly did.
Anya Taylor-Joy
It wouldn't be an embellishment to say we're captivated by "Dune: Part Two" star AnyaTaylor-Joy's Dior gown.
The curved neckline is fresh, and the skirt is giving us all the mermaid vibes.
Florence Pugh
Florence Pugh also followed suit in a silver ensemble that also reminded us of the open water, thanks to its crystal water droplets.
The corset top of her Del Core design had a silhouette reminiscent of an octopus.
Eva Longoria
Eva Longoria, whose film "Flamin' Hot" received a nomination for best original song, said on E!'s "Live from the Red Carpet" that she opted for something different for the occasion.
Looking far from "Desperate," one of USA TODAY's picks for Women of the Year dazzled in an off-the-shoulder velvet gown by Tamara Ralph Couture, which didn't detract from her stunning diamond choker.
